Error after updating: failed to evaluate variable Jacobian

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi there,

I have this model file that I used to use with earlier version of Comsol, I think it was 4.3.

Now that we updated to 4.3b I get the error "failed to evaluate variable Jacobian" from the emw module.

Variable: mode1.Ezx
Feature: Eigenvalue Solver (sol1/e1)

Structural mechanics works fine. I followed some of the recommendations made to similar posts but it still gives the same error.

Can you please have a look...

Thanks,

I found a fix. I have no idea why it works though! I'm leaving the comment in case someone faces the same issue...

Change the following: Electromagnetic Waves node -> Wave Equation -> Material type: set to Non-Solid.

I'm not sure what this setting does, but my model works now!
