Time dependent solver

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi all,

I want to see if COMSOL is capable of solving this problem:

Phase 1:
I have an electrode which I apply a current to. I can use magnetic field + heat transfer modules to simulate this part. The electrode gets hot.

Phase 2:
Then I turn the power off so the electrode starts being cooled.

I want to know how I can use COMSOL to solve for AC/DC + heat transfer with the solver Frequency-stationary in the first phase. Then to use time-dependent solver to solve for heat transfer in the second phase. For the second phase, I want to use the initial temperature as those obtained in the first phase.

Please tell me if I can do this in COMSOL.

Thank you,
Paria
