Acoustics Simulation for the Automotive Industry - Archived
In automotive design, acoustic analysis helps in optimizing multiple aspects of the vehicle, ranging from the engine and exhaust systems to cabin acoustics as well as noise and vibration damping materials. Accurately simulating these components involves coupling a number of different physics phenomena, including acoustics, structural mechanics, electromagnetics, and fluid flow.
In this webinar, we discuss how the COMSOL Multiphysics® modeling and simulation software can be used to predict and analyze the behavior of various acoustic phenomena in automobiles.
We discuss the modeling of:
- Noise and vibrations such as squeak and rattle noise, electric engine noise, and coupled acoustic–structure interaction, such as in gearboxes and motors
- Car cabin acoustics, including audio systems, the acoustic environment, and personal sound zones
- Various sound sources with full wave description and coupling them to ray tracing
- Multiphysics applications including electroacoustics, such as speaker design
